During lockdown and at Christmas everyone was sharing the shop independent message – shops, shoppers, media, celebrities, organisations – everyone.
It was a massive shop independent campaign, a collaboration, a movement, that we all wanted to be part of because we knew it was right. Right for shops, right for shoppers and right for all our futures and the economy.
Since Christmas and none essential shops re-opended, the shop independent message has gone quiet and is now just a whisper.
Well not any more!!

When?
Launching today (9th April 2021) and ongoing.
I will be sharing the Collaborate message (above) today and then sharing all the other messages (below) throughout April 2021.

Who?
Whether you are a shop, shopper, supporter of shop independent, a group or organisation, a celebrity or influencer, or a shop independent champion.
We can all have one voice creating an even bigger noise than we did at Christmas or during lockdown.
How?

I believe shopping independent should be our first choice of where to shop, our automatic choice. Whether that is on our local high street or online. They are all important for our economy and our future.
If the last 12 months has taught us anything, our community, our country pulling together, is the way forward. One way to do that is to shop with the small businesses, the independents in the UK.
Independent Shops Are Amazing. Shop independent Every Day.
The thing about independent shops is they are amazing. Shop with them because they are amazing. Full stop.
There are so many reasons why they are amazing and here are just some of them; they directly support the UK economy, uniqueness, experts with lots of knowledge, pleasurable shopping experience, personable and careful service, every order is appreciated, they have passion, personality, ethics and individuality, a curated and carefully selected range with their customer in mind, they are creative and innovative, add to the offer of variety and choice and finally it is a joy to shop with them.
I Dream of a World Filled With Independent Shops.
OMG the world would be a very dull place without independent shops.
Imagine losing their creativity, passion, personality, uniqueness and knowledge.
Imagine going down your high street or going online and there being no choice but the big shops and market places.
Independent Shops are For Life Not Just For Christmas. Shop independent Every Day.
Choose them or lose them!
At the end of the day, that is the result. If we do not choose to shop independent every day the shops will close. That is a terrible prospect.
At Christmas we all came together and shopped at independents. But once a year is not enough. We need to do it every day.
