I am Amanda owner of Maya Maya. I established Maya Maya in April 2006 after leaving the Motor Industry, a long hard career for 20 years previous. After being a woman in a Mans World (as it was very much then!) I wanted to start something that made me ‘feel like a girl’ again and so Maya Maya was born. During 2020 we moved to a new ‘Destination’ boutique, with private parking on the Dockray Hall Estate in Kendal, Cumbria.
I and my team at Maya Maya have created a personalised and unique shopping experience, whether that is online or in person. We offer a fun, relaxed environment, where you can enjoy some retail therapy.
The literal translation of Maya (in Arabic) is 100. So Maya Maya is used in reply to the question, “How re you?” Maya maya, 100/100 or 100%, or everything great, I felt that this was a great positive name for my business.
