On The Shop Independent Show this week I am chatting to the wonderful Heidi of EarlyBird Designs.

I am so excited to be launching my brand new podcast talking all things shop independent.

For this first episode I have a fantastic guest, Heidi Early of EarlyBird Designs.

Heidi and her husband Dominic have been running their greetings card business for well over 20 years.  With such a vast experience, Heidi has a lot of knowledge to share.

The passion Heidi has for EarlyBird Designs shines through in every word.  I really enjoyed the conversation and I am sure you will too.

Heidi says they “built it as we can cope with it”.  She goes onto say it was “a slow growth, sustainable growth” and this has meant a business with strong foundations.

Heidi admits “retail is hard work” and keeps coming back to the importance of building a community and how key it is to build relationships with your customers, suppliers, local communities and everyone involved in your business.  She is always coming up with new ideas for her business and for flying the shop independent flag.
