Ep 3 on The Shop Independent Show Podcast : Hoobynoo

On The Shop Independent Show this week I am chatting to Chiara of Hoobynoo.

Chiara began her business 10 years ago.  She started it from home when her children were very small and has grown it into a thriving and successful small business.

It is a true family business working with her husband and her mother in law, plus roping her children in to help when the pandemic meant a more manic workload.

You will gain a lot from the Hoobynoo business journey and how Chiara manages it and her time.  She has had a complete change of product focus, went from having others make her products to bringing them in house and has a brilliant launching style.

This episode was recorded a few weeks before the Jubilee and I loved how she came up with the products to celebrate this momentous event.

Chiara’s enthusiasm and love for her business shines through.  It was an absolute pleasure having this chat with her and I am sure you will enjoy and be inspired by it too.

You can listen to it right here on my website or head over to Spotify or iTunes.

Chiara talks a lot about the culture of her small business.  She takes a anything goes approach, builds fun into all that they do and has a very clear colourful brand story.

There is so much to learn from this conversation.  One key tip is to manage your week by focusing on a different area each day.  For example, Chiara does her accounts on a Monday plus admin and marketing on a Wednesday.  She also always takes a Thursday off and works a 4 day week, which is something we can definitely all learn from.

Chiara is on my shopping directory,  you can find the Hoobynoo shop page here. Or head straight to their online shop.

I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I loved creating it.  Please share it, follow it, subscribe to it, rate it or whatever else you can do to get this podcast out into the world.  Everything helps to fly the shop independent flag.

Until next time, thanks for listening to The Shop Independent Show.
