The Face Behind The Business

Croeso! Welcome!

I’m Lowri, one of the founders of Siop Cwlwm – probably the only Welsh shop in England.

Welsh is my first language, and my passion is promoting it as a current and living language, increasing its use by encouraging those who wish to learn the language and providing a wide variety of Welsh books, music, greeting cards, attractive gifts and design-led homewares for our lovely customers.

I established Siop Cwlwm in 2010, with my mum Linda, and you will find us in the award winning Oswestry indoor market (Powis Hall) every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, or you can visit our online shop.

I’m also a professional freelance Welsh translator, running the Trosi Tanat Translation business.
