The Shop Independent Show is presented by me, Barbara, the owner and founder of Love Our Shops UK.

I am really excited to finally launch my YouTube channel talking all about shopping at independent shops.  Both online shops and on the high street.

This channel is for you if any of these apply (or all of them):

• you love to shop and want to see indie edits (products from different shops around a theme) and other shopping help and inspiration.
• you are a thoughtful shopper, a discerning shopper, who likes to consider their purchases and would like to shop from small businesses more.  Whether online or on the high street.
• you run an independent shop and looking for tips on how to run your small business online.
• you think the shop independent movement is really important for our lives and that small businesses contribute a lot to our future.

What will I be sharing?

I will be sharing my passion of shopping independent online, hints and tips on running an online shop and I will be flying the shop independent flag.

MY PASSION 

I love shopping at small businesses (both online and on the high street) and because I run Love Our Shops UK, I know a lot of independent shops and the amazing products that they have.  I thought, it was time I shared them all on a YouTube channel.

I am always really passionate about helping and inspiring people to shop independent more that I thought I should share it far and wide.  Which is why I have launched my channel The Shop Independent Show.

There are so many reasons why shopping with small businesses is hands down, the best way to shop.  My article 10 Reasons to Shop Independent:  Why Supporting Small Businesses Matters explains my key drivers.

TIPS ON RUNNING AN ONLINE SHOP

When I was running my online shop, I found the amount of helpful videos, with tips and advice on running my e-commerce website, were few and far between.  Those that were available, were mostly linked to a specific e-commerce platform.

Which is why I thought it would be helpful to share some of my knowledge with you.  Things I have learnt in my 17 years of being in the online shopping business.

I wrote a blog post about things I wish I had known when I began my online shop all those years ago.

I 100% believe that if we all shopped independent more, our country would be a much better place.  Which is why I am proud to fly the shop independent flag and love sharing with everyone the benefits of doing so, the ways we can easily do it, how to find these wonderful shops and sharing shopping inspiration as much as I possibly can.
