When preparing for Christmas what else do you buy besides gifts and food? Cards, decorations, advent calendars, Christmas memory books, Christmas planners, wrapping paper and much more!!!
There are lots of extra Christmas bits and pieces. All of which come together to make Christmas special.
I absolutely love Christmas. The festive spirit, the excitement, the lights….I could go on, I love it all.
But pre-christmas also fills me with panic, until I have my list! Food, gifts, bits & pieces to buy, things to make, entertainment, etc.
From You To Me have created this brand new Christmas Planner and they have thought of pages for everything! Plus it has a very exciting festive design!!! I feel excited just looking at it.
From You To Me also have some wonderful memory journals, keepsakes and gifts. These are really lovely and such a special way to hold your Christmas memories.
Hoobynoo have some great Christmas products. They have a whole selection of personalised decorations for adults, children and pets.
I love their, oh so cute, personalised Penguin Place Names. But also check out their personalised place mats, personalised Childs Christmas Sack and personalised Dog Christmas Sack for your furry friend. Lots of other lovely products too on their Christmas page. Spoilt for choice.
Do you like a wreath for your door? Wiggly Wigglers have some gorgeous ones. Their Nordic Festive Wreath has caught my eye. They also have some lovely table decorations, Christmas themed bouquets, traditional festive garland and the all important mistletoe. You have to have mistletoe!!
Are you sending them? Are you not and giving to charity instead?
I always send cards. I feel sending cards is a time to reflect on all the people important to you in your life and to send them a lovely card to let them know you are thinking of them, and vice versa.
There are some truly gorgeous cards out there this year and here are some very special ones.
Poppy Treffry cards are beautiful. I am also tempted by their cute decorations, very festive badges, a Christmas embroidered storage pot (perfect for sweets or nuts) and festive egg cosy. The Poppy Treffry Christmas page is worth a look.
Is gift wrapping an art? How creative are you with yours? I have found some wonderful wrapping paper to inspire you.
First up is the oh so unique, Brussels Sprout Gift Wrap from Hoobynoo. Love sprouts or hate them, you have to admit this paper brings a smile to your face.
Simply Ribbons has a brilliant range of Christmas ribbons. Perfect for gift wrapping but also for all your creative Christmas makes. Sparkly, Nordic, Velvet, Hessian, and Traditional. If there is a particular ribbon you have in mind, looking at the massive range, I am sure Simply Ribbons will have it.
We really do not like the chocolate advent calendars in our house, so we are always on the look out for something a bit different.
So I have pulled together a lovely selection, lots of unusual ones and the more traditional. Christmas Advent Calendar Ideas.
I hope I have helped you find some Christmassy things that will add to the festivities, as you prepare for this magical time of year.
Shop Independent this Christmas, find unique, quirky and special in all that you buy.
Merry Christmas and enjoy your Christmas preparations.

Please be aware. All opinions in this blog post are mine. At the time of writing I have not received any payment or free samples from the shops mentioned. Though I mention lots of shops here, you must form your own opinion as to whether their products are for you.
I aim to include only independently owned shops. Sometimes it is tricky to work out if they are. So, as far as I can tell, they are independently owned, but apologies if the odd one that is not slips into my blog post….they hide it well!
