“Time spent in nature is never wasted.”
I love this time of year. The colours, the wind, the freshness. It may actually be my favourite season. Is it for you?
Based in Truro in Cornwall this great shop sells a wide range of products for many different outdoor activities. Includes camping, kayaking, surfing, body boarding, windsurfing, fishing, snow and snorkeling. They have a brilliant range of wetsuits perfect for all types of watersports.
This brilliant shop was setup in 2006 with the aim of bringing all lightweight outdoor gear together into one store. They provide really good product shots and information so you can easily see and find out about the products before you buy. For activities such as backpacking, trekking and travelling without being hindered by heavy loads. Great range so definitely worth taking a look. I love the sound of their ultralight day pack.
This shop is for everyday outdoor as they make and sell recycled clothing out of pre-loved cashmere knitwear. Their range includes fingerless gloves, snoods, wraps, neck warmers, wrist warmers, head bands and much more. For ladies, gents and children. Made in a lovely studio in Shropshire. I really love Turtle Doves – their products, their ethics and their loveliness. Such a great find.
A perfectly relaxing way to be outside, sat around a fire. Firepits UK make by hand all their products, so each one is robust and unrivalled quality. They also weather beautifully. Catering for a wide range of pockets I think you will find one suitable for you. The one shown here is a fab Pizza Pit!
I love this shop. Such a great name too! If you are into horses or ponies and you are female this shop is for you. Selling both riding gear and horse related gifts and party supplies. This shop is run by Mother and Daughter team Gilly and Katie. Shown here is the brilliant Sophie Allport rucksack.
This shop has a wide selection of clothing, accessories and equipment for lots of different outdoor activities. Supplying a massive range (8000 different products) you will find what you are looking for I am sure. I really love their walking range and have included here some walking boots. This shop is family run and has been in existence for over 60 years.
This shop is run from the very beautiful area of Llangollen. Owned by an adventure coach and leader, they only stock products that they recommend and are happy to use themselves. Good value products, worth buying. Aimed at both the novice and the more experienced outdoor adventurer. Clothing and equipment are available. Even a bushcraft category. A great range of camping gear too including this brilliant Jetboil Flash cooking system.
This family run business has been in existence for over 25 years. Based in the beautiful Peak District they stock outdoor clothing and equipment for lots of different outdoor adventures – climbing, running, walking, camping and mountaineering. They know their stuff, which is evident from the range and their product descriptions. I have shown here the new in stock Rab jacket. I want one!!
This is a brilliant cycling and accessories shop. They pride themselves on excellent customer service and show great knowledge and experience when it comes to their products and cycling in general. Featured here is this brilliant USB rechargeable light using your GPS mount. What a great idea.

Happy browsing…and shopping!
Please be aware. All opinions in this blog post are mine. At the time of writing I have not received any payment or free samples from the shops mentioned. Though I mention lots of shops here, you must form your own opinion as to whether their products are for you.
I aim to include only independently owned shops. Sometimes it is tricky to work out if they are. So, as far as I can tell, they are independently owned, but apologies if the odd one that is not slips into my blog post….they hide it well!
